Building Blocks for Life

The decision was made to only offer kindergarten classes during the first year of each Jubilee School’s reopening and a subsequent grade was added each year thereafter. Because they are introduced at the earliest age possible to a challenging, loving environment, Jubilee children understand exactly what is expected of them from the very beginning.

The Jubilee Schools not only educate the children, but also clothe them, wash their uniforms, and provide some with their only meal of the day. Operating on the belief that it's critical to teach not just the child but the entire family, the Jubilee Schools also offer assistance with adult literacy, job training, and health and wellness education.

The Jubilee Schools require assistance from each child’s parent—the most influential teachers children will ever have. All parents sign a pledge of their responsibility for their child and their participation in the Jubilee Schools.

The Jubilee Schools provide students with the building blocks for life—the opportunity to learn, to succeed and to overcome the odds. These schools are safe havens for the students, free from the distractions of violence, drugs and poverty so prevalent in their neighborhoods. Each teacher is committed to providing exemplary student enrichment.
